She attended Lubbock High School in Lubbock, Texas where she later worked as a bank teller for Lubbock National Bank. Nell was a devoted Methodist having been a former member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Schertz, Texas.
She loved flowers and reading, as well as going to dinner with friends and spending time with her family. Nell enjoyed planning parties and having the whole neighborhood come over. She would often sit on the front porch and talk to her neighbors when they walked by.
Nell is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Nell will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188.
