Patti June Sample

Patti June Sample, age 61, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. She was born in Bennington, Vermont on October 31, 1963 and was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean LeBarron (born October 20, 1965); brothers, Lawrence W. LeBarron Jr. (born December 24, 1956), and Thomas A. LaBarron (born January 16, 1958); father, Lawrence W. LeBarron Sr. (born September 20, 1936) and mother, Dorothy June LeBarron (born December 27, 1936).

She went to Troy High School in New York, where she received her GED. Patti was a member of the Potter House Williamsburg Church.

Patti loved spending time with family and friends, especially at family gatherings during Christmas—her favorite holiday. One of her greatest joys in life was being able to give all her time to her husband, her children, her sister, and her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. She loved to make people smile.

Patti also had a love for reading, playing games, as well as roses. Her favorite color was blue.

She is survived by her husband, William Sample Sr. (60); sons, Donald Vernon Prosser (40), Thomas Julian Prosser (39), Matthew James Prosser (35) and spouse Lianna, Corey Britt Prosser (31), and Anthony William Sample (26) and spouse Carolyn; daughter, Melissa Marie Sample (24) and spouse Daniel Sites; grandchildren, Julian (17), Meadow (5), Ella Rose (2), Malachi (1), Avamay (1), Melody (2 months), and Amelia (newborn); siblings, Forrest Edward LeBarron and Michelle Jean Benson; pets, King, Shadow, and Tummy; and lots of nieces and nephews.

She will be laid to rest at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
