He was a fisherman from childhood through his entire life and was an expert fly fisherman. He spent many years at his second home in Teton Valley Idaho fishing all the rivers in the region with his brother Joe and countless friends. He was equally as passionate towards golf; he was a member of Kingsmill for decades and also a member at Bay Hill in Orlando for years.
