Ronald David Perkins, 64, of Williamsburg, passed away on March 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Stanley Perkins and his mother, Helen Louise Sklarsky. Ron was born and raised in Sewickley, PA.
He spent his career in construction and was the well-respected owner of Perkins Construction for 35 years. He was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church. While Ron enjoyed golfing, he loved spending time with his family more than anything else. A great host, he loved to cook for his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and was loved by all who knew him. He will be truly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Susan M. Perkins; daughters, Jennifer Perkins, Ronda Vickerton (Martin) and Chelsea Perkins; grandchildren, Jude Vickerton and Rosie Vickerton; brother, Joseph Perkins (Deborah); sister, Melanie Perkins (life-long friend, George Miller); and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. and from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
