Scott Bennett

Mr. Scott “Spud” Bennett, 57, of Lanexa, VA, passed away at his home Sunday evening, May 11, 2025. Scott was born October 31, 1967, in Virginia Beach, Va, to Catherine Bennett and to the late Barry “Brud” Bennett.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Paula Z. Bennett, brother-in-law Tommy Ziesmann and his wife Pam Ziesmann, niece Kaitlin Ziesmann, mom Katie Bennett, brother Chriss Bennett, many aunts, cousins, his Tennessee Walker Bouvier, the late Shetland Pony Twilight, Lab Jocoby, cat Blackjack, many hens, and rooster Bresse.

Scott was a punk rocking, guitar playing, skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, motorcycle/bicycle riding, hard-working, and farm loving husband.

Scotty was very kind, easy going, bigger than life, and is greatly missed! His quick wit and jokester sense of humor brought joy and laughter to everyone around him, making every moment spent with him unforgettable.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 25 at Mount Vernon UMC in Toano, VA.
