Shawn Antwone Brooks

He worked for Heating and Air, Auxiliary Systems in Norfolk, VA and also owned his own Landscaping Company. Shawn was a loving husband and son, and a wonderful father.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gertrude Brooks; grandfather, Felix Brooks, Sr.; nephew, Brashawnta Brooks; and aunt, Shirley Cook.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Kymberlie Brooks of Newport News, VA; son, Ty’Jon Brooks of Williamsburg, VA; stepson, Mekhai Coleman of Newport News, VA; daughters, Serenity Brooks of Williamsburg, VA and Milan Brooks of Newport News, VA; mother and stepfather, Desiree and Sherman Piggott of Toano, VA; father, Joseph Keyser of Baltimore, MD; sisters, Sakina Brooks of Williamsburg, VA, Sheree Brooks of Newport News, VA and Missy Piggott of Williamsburg, VA; brothers, Antonio Brooks of Williamsburg, VA, Brandon Brooks of Toano, VA, Glen Wilson of Newport News, VA, Corey Jones of Iowa, Rian Thompson of Texas, and Corey Piggott, of Marietta, GA.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 25 beginning at 1PM at the Bethel Restoration Center, 6205 Richmond Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park. Repass will be held following at 2450 Little Creek Dam Rd., Toano, VA 23168.
