Suzanne Mayo Burgoon, 86, a resident of Williamsburg since 1991, passed away on October 20, 2025. She was born in Huntington, WV, on February 13, 1939, and was a longtime resident of New York City. She was a graduate of St. Catherine's School in Richmond, VA, and of Finch College in New York City. She was an active volunteer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and at Colonial Williamsburg.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, William S. Miles III of Peoria, IL and two nieces Margaret Anne Miles of Maynard, MA and Nancy Wrenn Miles of Peoria, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Hagen and T.J.C. Mayo; her husband, William H. Burgoon; and her sister, Nancy Mayo Miles.
There will be no memorial services or calling hours. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
