He joined IBM at the age of 19, later becoming Human Resources Manager and Equal Opportunity (EO) Director.
He passed away peacefully at his home in Williamsburg, Virginia on July 19, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 41 years, June Megelich Donovan; siblings: Brian, Sheila, Gerald; grandsons, Thomas and Matthew Donovan.
He is survived by his other siblings: Dennis (Sue) Donovan, Eileen (Tim) Heslin, Mark (Annie) Donovan, and Lisa (Jerry) O'Dwyer as well as his five beautiful daughters: Julie (David) Collins, Michelle (Lee) Wingo, Lynn (John) Elcano, Laurie Donovan, Jennifer (Lee) Berlin, and grandchildren: Robert, Michael, Christopher; Samantha, Miranda, Emily; Zachary, Meredith; Ashley; Aaron, Juliana; great grandchildren: Oliver and Evie.
Tom leaves behind his sweet wife of 19 years, Dianne Ramsey Donovan; step-daughters: Jeralie (Scot) Hymas, Kathie (Peter) Nielsen, Susan (Brad) Smith, Leslie (Dave) Guido, Donna (Richard) Welch and Kellie (David) Persinger; 24 step-grandchildren: Nathan, Cameron; Emily, Sara, Jeff; Michael, Brandon, David, Julianne; Katie, Mattie, Jackie; Ashley, Brittany, Dustin, Tyler, Matthew; Dallas, Cody, JD, Lexie, Jackson, Dylan, Lillie and 23 step-great grandkids.
