Troy Michael Krotz

He was a graduate of the class of 1988 at Mundelein High School, Mundelein IL.

Troy joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves 20 July 1987. Troy served as Air Support Operations Operator and advanced to the rank of Sergeant. He participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He separated from the Reserves 09 July 1995.

The pride of his life, Joshua Michael, was born on 12 AUG 1990. His marriage to the love of his life, Aileen, occurred on 04 JUL 1993. And the darling of his heart, Heather Anne, was born on 09 Feb 1998.

Troy Joined the U.S. Coast Guard 12 March 1996. He served onboard Cutters: USCGC Roanoke Island, USCGC Marcus Hannah, USCGC Northland, USCGC Tampa, and USCGC Katherine Walker. Additional units include: STA ST. Ignace, GRU Hampton Roads, ANT South Portland, SEC New York. Troy began his Coast Guard career as a Quartermaster and later merged ratings becoming a knuckle dragging Boatswain Mate. He attained the rank of Chief Boatswain Mate 01 October 2006, he was a graduate of the Chiefs Petty Officer Academy class 151, he completed CCTI 12 JAN 2007 and continued as a valued member of the Chiefs mess for over 10 years. His accomplishments are too numerous to mention but there was always a longwinded story behind each one.

Troy’s hobbies included golf, hockey, cycling, motorcycle racing, rugby, and photography.

Troy is survived by his loving wife Aileen, son Joshua, daughter Heather, and mother Judith.
