Virginia loved animals and her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed decorating, traveling, and casinos.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Marie Brewington (Michael) and Rebecca Leann Pate (Craig); grandchildren, Christina, Kimberly, Jessica, Jacob, Elizabeth, Robert, Andrew, Alexandra, and Braxton; great-grandchildren, Mallery, Connor, Charlotte, Cameron, Bennett, Piper, Adeline, Jackson, and Caiden; brother, David Earl Thompson; nephews, Dave and Steve; and niece, Michelle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rebecca Causey, Mallory Causey and James Donald Thompson; husband, William John Burdine; brother, Donald Ray Thompson; and David’s wife, her sister-in-law, Leanna Thompson.
A service for Virginia will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, Virginia 23188. Following the service will be a burial at 2:00 PM at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 809 South Henry Street, Williamsburg, Virginia.
