Born Aug. 6th, 1920 to J. B. Fraser, Jr. and Grace Naylor Fraser of Ft
Ogden, Florida. The youngest of 4 children, she graduated from Ft.
Lauderdale High School and the University of Tennessee. Happily married to
Edmond T. Freeman, together they raised 3 children in Geneva, Ill. "BJ" was
a happy spirit and loving friend to many and enjoyed participating in the
Red Cross during WWII, the Geneva Women’s' Auxiliary, the Geneva Garden
Club, and, later, Waynesville (N.C.) Meals on Wheels. She and Ed enjoyed
traveling extensively with beloved family and friends.
The family of BJ and Ed Freeman now consists of daughter Barbara (Buffy)
Freeman and David Tuffs with grandson Henry Tuffs; daughter Susan F. Martin
with granddaughters Eleanor and Grace Martin; and son Joseph Freeman with
granddaughter Dana Freeman and grandson Russell Freeman.
BJ would be the first to consider this obit, a "little dry".
A Time of remembrance will be held Friday September 27, 2013 at 2pm at Burcham Hills; 2700 Burcham Dr. East Lansing, MI 48823. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in BJ’s memory to; Haslett Community Church; 1427 Haslett Rd. Haslett, MI 48840, or any charity of your choice.
