Williamston, Michigan
On August 5, 2012, at the age of 85, Delores passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Her strength, kindness and cheerful disposition will live on in the cherished memories of her loved ones.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. William T. Grady and her parents, Edna M. Hood and William T. Hood, as well as her close cousin, Richard H. Harper and his wife Anita C. Harper.
Delores will be deeply missed by her 4 children, their spouses and her grandchildren; Bill (Cyndy) and son Liam, Monica (Gary) and daughter Anna, Gregory (Sue) and daughters Sara, Kate, and son Thom, James and his partner Donna.
In addition to her immediate family, Delores’s extended Canadian family provided a lifelong source of joy, pride and comfort to her.
Delores graduated from the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Cooley Law School, yet she remained a lifelong Notre Dame fan.
Delores lived in Williamston for 50 years and enjoyed her community, her St. Mary’s Church family, her neighbors and friends. She also enjoyed politics and golf, and was especially proud of the “hole-in-one” she achieved at Oak Lane golf course in 1991.
