Age 79, died May 16, 2011; born April 11, 1932 in Williamston. Son of Frank and Gladys (Farnsworth) Jason. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Betty of 52 years. His four daughters, Jill (David) Dunham, Julie (Brian) Taylor, Janet (Chuck) White, and Jennifer (Joe) Black and nine grandchildren; Jenna and Justin Taylor, Jason and Jordan White, Alex and Andrew Dunham, and Nathan, Allison, and Gavin Black. He also has one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Irani.
Jerry retired from the Ingham County Road Commission in 1995. He was a life time member of the Webberville Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Vantown Community Church. He was active in the community and volunteered as a 4-H leader, EMT at Stockbridge Ambulance, served on the Michigan Milk Association board and loved farming.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Williamston Free Methodist Church, 4400 N. Williamston Road, Williamston with Pastor Terry Turner, of the Vantown Community Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runicman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Middle Street, Williamston on Thursday from 6-8pm and on Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, with a Masonic Service at 7pm Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Jerry to the Vantown Community Church, 3504 E.
