JoAnn Catherine Wallace

JoAnn Wallace, born September 16, 1933, in Webberville, the daughter of Elmer and Catherine (Oesterle) Alchin, made her transition April 23, 2012 at the age of 78. JoAnn was a very spiritual woman and an avid reader. She also enjoyed watching horseracing and was quite the handicapper. She loved her family and was so very proud of her children and grandchildren. JoAnn will be greatly missed. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Alchin and step-son Brian Wallace. Surviving to cherish her memory is husband Keith; daughters LeeAnn (Terry) Estes, Diane (Kevin) Price, Sherri Gilpin; son Michael Gilpin; step-daughters Susan (David) Winkelstern, Rebecca (Salvatore) Zambito; step-sons Scott Wallace, Mark (Debbi) Wallace; grandchildren Kirsten, Nicole, Bobbi, Corrine, Shannon, Neil, Kevin Jr., Patrick, Dustin, Leah; six great-grandchildren; brother Gerald (Barbara) Alchin; sister Judy (Ray) Thornton; sister-in-law Barbara Alchin (late brother Kenneth’s wife) and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston on Friday, April 27 at 1:00 with Revs. Kathryn DeMougin and Dick Ammons officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Alchin Farm Cemetery.
