Kenneth Gordon Vorce passed from this world into peaceful, pain-free Heaven with his family near him. Ken's family preceding him into Heaven are his parents, Hazel and Everett Vorce; brothers, Raymond and Gaylord Vorce, Charles Pipjer; grandson, Charles Vorce; sisters, Margaret Job, Joyce Kares. Left to carry on family love are Ken's loving wife of sixty-six years, Rose Marie Vorce; children, Gordon (Donna) Vorce, Theresa (Tom) Grover, Karen (Randy) Howlett, Lynnet (John) Caras, Randy (Liz) Vorce; twenty grandchildren whom he loved to have around him; fourteen great-grandchildren, what a blessing they are; brother, Lawrence (Judy) Vorce; sisters, Jean (John) Benjamin, Joan (Linn) Jenkins.
Ken retired from the Post Office with thirty-three years of carrying mail. He spent a lot of time on camping trips with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing as time would allow, and loved to cut wood for the wood stove. Taking care of his home and wife were his priorities in his life, besides making sure all of his family was well cared for. He enjoyed seeing everyone as often as possible. Ken's pastime was doing word find puzzles.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 157 High Street, Williamston, with visitation from 10:00am until Mass time. The Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm with the Rosary prayed at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America or Saint Mary Catholic Church Pew Fund.
