

Leo Francis Perkins, age 91 of Fowlerville, MI formerly of Williamston, MI passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021. He was born on February 14, 1930 in Salem, MI the son of Floyd and Faye (Spencer) Perkins.
Leo served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He owned and operated Leo’s Continental Coiffures and Leo’s Too both in Lansing for many years. Leo styled hair for 65 years. During his career he studied under Vidal Sassoon in California, Leo Passage in Chicago and Bruno of Toronto. He wa a member of the Michigan Hair Fashion Committee and Lansing Cosmetology Association. Leo was also a member of the Williamston American Legion and St. Mary Catholic Church in Williamston. His favorite pastime was playing cards with family and friends, he will be fondly remembered for his “Let ‘er rip kingfish” comment when playing. Leo was known as ‘Lucky Leo’.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Perkins; children, Karen (Dean) Kruppenbach, Dean (Lynn) Perkins and Mary (Mark) Hitchcock; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Seeman. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; 3 daughters, Sue Foster, Janie Perkins and Theresa Perkins; son-in-law, George Foster; grandson, Aaron Perkins; brothers, Neil Perkins and Spencer Perkins; sister, Jeanette Risdon.
Love is kind, love is patient. Leo never failed his family and friends, he was never self-seeking.
There will be no services held at this time per Leo’s wishes. In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial contribution in Leo’s honor to St. Mary Church and School in Williamston.
