Linda Rogers Moore, age 66, of Williamston, Michigan, formally of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday morning, September 11, 2014, in Lansing, Michigan.
Linda was born January 3rd, 1948, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William G. Rogers and Inez (Messer) Rogers.
Linda had many jobs throughout her life, but her favorite was working with her family at the Williamston Dollar Store. She loved being surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Linda was always there to lend a helping hand and was a friend to everyone. Besides spending time with family, Linda loved to garden and listen to music, especially her favorite Elvis. One of her favorite trips was when she and her husband, Jerry Moore, got the chance to go to Graceland.
Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Moore. She is also survived by her daughter Kristine Watkins and husband Tom Watkins, her grandchildren Lindsey Konopka, Joshua Konopka, Justin Watkins, Sarah Watkins, great granddaughter Melanie Ansley, son Jerry Moore Jr., grandchildren Keri Belles Hahn and husband Adam Hahn, Jacob Moore and wife Alana Moore, Lytishia Bradley Moore, Jaymie Moore, and great-grandchildren Kalyn Watkins, Charlotte Hahn, and Dixie Mays.
She also leaves many siblings; Jean and Dennis Atherton, Carolyn Grabarczyk, Danny and Claudia Rogers, Gary Rogers, Patty and Jordan Harvey, and their families. She is survived by many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Linda is preceded in death her by parents William G. and Inez (Messer) Rogers, daughter-in-law Kelly Moore, brother-in-law Larry Grabarczyk, and sister-in-law Anne Rogers.
The funeral service will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St., on Monday September 15th, 2014 at 1pm. The family will receive friends from 11am – 1pm, prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at Summit Cemetery, Williamston.
