Margery Lee Meerman

Margery Lee Meerman passed away on July 21, 2012 surrounded by family at the age of 84. Marge was born in Lansing, MI on December 27, 1927, the second youngest of seven children, to Louise and Walter Stachel. She attended Lansing Eastern High School. She married David Siebert Meerman from Williamston on November 29, 1952 and they moved to Jackson, MI to raise their family. Marge retired from Foote Hospital and she and Dave built a new home on family property in Gaylord, MI where they enjoyed living surrounded by nature for 23 years before recently returning to the Jackson area.

Marge is survived by her husband, Dave of 59 years, her children Todd (Sheryl) Meerman, Ryan Meerman, and Terri (Terry) Watts, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and her sister, Martha Whiting.

Marge loved music, enjoyed working in the garden, watching Spartan athletics and cooking and baking for her family. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, a fun spirited grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her loving husband.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 11:00 to 1:00 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. Williamston, MI. Graveside Service will be at 1:30 at Summit Cemetery, Beeman Rd. Williamston, MI.
