Marietta Elida Schafer

Marietta Elida Schafer, age 73, of Williamston passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020. She was born on December 9, 1946 in Eaton Rapids to the late George and Alberta Harris. On May 26, 1985 she married her husband, Francis. She enjoyed painting, coloring, baking, traveling, listening to music, working on her family genealogy, and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren who were her joy. Marietta was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she loved being involved in the Relief Society, and serving in the library of the Williamston Ward.

Marietta is Survived by her loving husband of nearly 35 years, Francis; her children, Michael (Lindsay) Laycock of Brighton, and Amanda (George) Musser of Williamston; step-children, Candace (Lance) Myler of New Mexico, Christopher (Kathy) Schafer of Holt, and Kendall (Rachel) Schafer of Utah; her siblings, George Harris, Susan Hilts, and Phillip Harris; her grandchildren, Jacob, Ailyn, Cassaundra, Serena, Hunter, Conrad, Joshua, Abraham, Crystal, Mitchell, Levi, Aleksei, Christian, Mathias, Jakob, Nikolaus, Jarom, Tesla, Laneah, Brigg, and Aksel; many great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
