

Nicole Aristine Hamlin, 34, of Haslett, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, after a short, courageous battle with a rare form of cancer called Choriocarcinoma. Nicole was born Dec. 28, 1982, in Owosso, MI and lived there until she graduated high school. She had a Bachelors Degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University and a Masters Degree in Human Services with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy at Liberty University. She had worked as an office manager and a social worker, but she lived out her dream as a wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; her children, Luke (3 1/2 years), Olivia (20 months), and Ella (5 weeks); her mother, Judy Manke (Perry); her father, Tom Manke (Owosso); her father- and mother-in-law, Richard and Roberta Hamlin (Webberville); sister, Janae Manke (Perry); brother, Derek Manke (Wyoming, MI); brother- and sister-in-law, Ramey and Laura Lunceford (Holt); maternal grandmother, Sally Garver (Ovid); paternal grandmother, Aristine Manke (Alberta); nieces Raegan Oviatt (Perry) and Eleanor Lunceford (Holt); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, George Castle and paternal grandfather, Richard Manke.
Services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, Mar. 4, 2017, at University Reformed Church, 841 Timberlane St., East Lansing, MI, with Pastor Phil Dufrin officiating. Burial will be in the Summit Cemetery in Williamston. Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Manke, Derek Manke, Ramey Lunceford, Jim Crawford, Doug Motley, and Brian Bertsch.
The family will receive family and friends at University Reformed Church on Friday from 4pm to 8pm and 11am to 12pm before the funeral on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Nicole to the "For the Children of Nicole A. Hamlin Trust", PO Box 365, Williamston, MI 48895.
