Norabelle, age 96, was born September 26, 1915 to Roy and Alice (Horton) Smith and died May 15, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Hayward in 1958; first husband, Colin Hayward in 1960; daughter, Janet Hodges in 1984 and sisters, Virginia Baker and Frances Sinclair. Norabelle was a life-long member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a long-time member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist of Greater Lansing. She was Owner and Operator of the Hayward Insurance Agency of Williamston with her first husband Colin Hayward from 1944 through 1978. Norabelle is survived by her grandchildren, Norman Hile, Martin Hodges and David (Dawn) Dow; great-grandchildren, D.J. Dow, Michael Dow and Jessica Fritz; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother-in-law Eugene (Shirley) Hayward and loving extended family: nieces, Berta Osborne, Ann Reffett; nephews, John (Jan) Sinclair, Ray (Nancy) Sinclair.
Funeral Services will be Friday, May 18, 2012 at 1:00pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Williamston, MI with the Rev. Dr. Julie Kilmer officiating. The family will meet guests 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be held following the funeral service at Summit Cemetery, Beeman Rd. Williamston, MI.
