Raymond A. Powell

Williamston

Raymond Powell passed away September 3, 2010 at the age of 91. He was born on July 23, 1919, to Cornelius and Bertha Powell. Raymond lived on the families centennial farm and farmed the land all of his life. He was a member of the Crossroads United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau. He was a life member of the Williamston Lodge #153 F & AM. Raymond also served on the Township board for 19 years, Chairman of the fire board, and was President of the Producer’s Elevator.

Raymond is survived by his daughters, Connie (David) Holmes, Mary (Barry) Nixon, Ann (Chuck) Coe; son, Paul (Karen) Powell; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Daune; his parents, 5 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 5, from 1-3 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Middle St, Williamston. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 7, Noon with visitation 2 hrs prior to the service at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 5491 Zimmer Rd., Williamston, with the Rev.
