Bob McKinney was born July 6, 1936 and went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 1, 2015 at the age of 78. Robert was the son of George and Margaret McKinney and spent most of his life in the Williamston area. Bob graduated from Williamston High School and Ferris State College. He spent his working years as a mechanical designer. He married the love of his life, Marlene and raised their family in the Williamston community. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish in Williamston. Bob was happiest when he was in the company of his family and friends. He treasured the times when we would gather around a bonfire, singing songs, or listening to his Irish music. He loved nature and all of the beauty in the world around us. He was proceeded in death by his sister, Barbara McKinney, brother, David McKinney, daughter, Ladesca Hudson, daughter, Andrea Smith, son-in law, Kevin Hudson. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marlene, daughter, Teresa McKinney-Pratt and son George (Kim) McKinney, 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday March 6, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the rosary at 8:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday March 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 157 High Street, Williamston, MI 48895, with the Rev. Mark Rutherford officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, or the donor’s favorite charity.
