Frankie Ramseur Griffin

Frankie Ramseur Griffin, 97, of 1001 West Main Street, died Sunday. Aug. 14, 2011 at Martin General Hospital. Mrs. Griffin was born Jan. 21. 1914 in Lincolnton to the late Franklin Foil Ramseur Sr. and Dicie Ellen Rhoney Ramseur. She was a nurse and

retired from the health department She was also a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

She and Dr. Victor E. Brown were married in 1937; he predeceased her Jan. 15. 1960. She was also predeceased by her second husband in 1995. They were married Dec. 11, 1981. Others who preceded her in death are son, Leslie Carlyle Brown; sister, Betty Pearson and brother, Franklin Foil Ramseur Jr.

Survivors are her son, Victor E. Brown Jr. and Wife, Gail of Bowie Md; sister, Mary Jane Webb of Kernersville; stepdaughter, Martha Evans Griffin of Charlotte; stepson, Henry E. Griffin Jr. and wife, Sandi of Cornelius; daughter-in~law, Sandra Brown of Waynesville;

grandchildren. Renee Reed, Victor E. Brown III and wife, Sharon, Deanna Lynn Butler and William Ramseur Brown and wife, Karen; step- grandchildren, Ginny Carroll and husband John, Beth Kaufrnan and husband Ben, and Chance Bowman Griffin; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27 at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Parker, officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial setvice at the church. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Heart Association.
