Mrs Griffin was a homemaker and had retired from Belk where she worked as a Sales Clerk. She was a member of Macedonia Christian Church for many years. On March 24, 1940 she married Leon Earl Griffin who preceded her in death on December 21, 1998. A son Leon Earl Griffin Jr and a sister Rosa P Griffin also preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters Helen Griffin Davis and husband Richard, Vickie Griffin Gay and husband Herbie, and Phyllis Griffin Pearson and husband Lee all of Williamston, grandchildren Elizabeth E Barber, Jane E Rouse, Ginnie G Beecham, Cindie G Carnahan, Leigh Ann Pearson and Stephen Pearson, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

The family will received friends on Saturday from 7-8:30 PM at Macedonia Christian Church and other times at 3471 Smithwick Creek Church Rd at home of Phyllis and Lee Pearson. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Macedonia Christian Church 7640 US Hwy 17 Williamston NC 27892 or a charity of one’s choice.
