Irvin Whit Whitley Ross

Irvin Whitley “Whit” Ross, 67 of 1040 Dixie Trail Williamston died Saturday in Martin General Hospital. He was born in Martin County Sept. 21, 1943 to the late William Thomas Ross and Pearl Griffin Ross of Williamston.

In addition to his Mother he is survived by a daughter

Kathy Earley and Husband Dave of Cary, a son Mark

Ross and wife Pam of Williamston, a brother Griff Ross

and wife Ella of Williamston, a friend Jo Ayers of Williamston, 4 Grandchildren Samantha Earley, Elizabeth Earley, Whit

Ross, and Brett Ross. Whit was married to Barbara

Hardison Ross on Nov.8, 1963 who preceded him in death on Sept.

14, 2008, He was also preceded in death be a Sister

Janet Kallen.

Whit was a Farmer, a Member of Memorial Baptist Church

and Graduate of NCSU.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 3, 2011 at 2 P M

at Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Robbie Parker and Rev. Dean Harrell. Burial will be in Martin Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the home from 7-8:30 and visitation Thursday, June 2,2011 night at Biggs Funeral Home from 7-8:30.
