Jimmy Cherry

He was educated in the Everetts and Robersonville public schools. He attended NC State University and graduated from East Carolina University.

He was employed at Weyerhaeuser in Plymouth NC where he retired in 1999. He was preceded in death by his first wife Peggy Jo Taylor Cherry, his parents and two brothers David Elliott Cherry and John Ashley Cherry.

He is survived by his wife Anne Davenport Cherry, his daughter Mary Lynn Cherry Kidd and her husband Chris, two granddaughters Mary Frances Kidd and Sidney James Kidd all of Raleigh,

one brother Billy Cherry of Greenville NC, two sisters Peggy Rogerson and husband Jesse of Greenville NC and Gail VanLandingham and husband Mike of Williamston NC and several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday February 17, 2014 at Memorial Baptist Church in Williamston NC with Rev Robbie Parker and Rev James Horton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment

will follow at the Taylor family cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bruce Wynne Scholarship Fund c/o Memorial Baptist Church, 109 Church St Williamston NC 27892
