Lester Ray Bell

Lester Ray Bell went home to be with the Lord Thursday April 24, 2014 at 12:30 AM. He was born in Halifax County August 25, 1935. He was the son of the late George Russell and Annie Ronie Bell. He graduated from Williamston High School in 1953. He worked as a co-manager in various grocery stores. Ray joined the Army in 1955. He served in active duty for 2 years and served 20 years in the Reserves before retiring. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Ray loved his country, family and friends. He is survived by his wife Margie Bell, son Jeff Bell of Greenville and son Chris Bell and wife Wendy of Williamston, grandchildren Morgan Bell and Erica Bell of Ayden, Christopher Bell and wife Heather of Williamston, Lauren Brown, Justin Bell, and fiancé Macayla of Kentucky, great grandson Landon Lee Bell of Williamston, Colorado.

Many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and many special friends.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:30-8:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 18486 NC Hwy 125 Williamston NC
