Marie Perry Hardison

Betty Marie Perry Hardison, 84, died Sunday December 18, 2011 at Roanoke River Nursing and Rehab Center. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Ernest Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Tice Cemetery.

Mrs Hardison was a homemaker and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Nathan Thomas and Annie Bell Corey Perry. On March 2, 1946 she married Simon Hardison Sr who preceded her in death on January 30, 1990. A son Danny Hardison and sisters Gladys Wilson, Velma Hardison, Annie Lee Gurganus, and Estelle Rios also preceded her in death.

Survivors are a daughter Doris Ann Stevenson and husband Leroy of Williamston, sisters Gaynell Howell of Montgomery AL, Faye Barber and husband Jerry of Jamesville, Eula Gardner and husband Fred and Viola Hollis both of Williamston, brothers Robert Perry and wife Evelyn, N. S. Perry and wife Thelma, Gerald Perry and wife Madeline all of Williamston and Junior Perry and wife Marie of Hampton VA, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at the funeral home and other times at 20556 NC Hwy 125 Williamston
