
seventh child of the late R.L. and Nellie Rogerson Mobley was born June22,1951. Nelda graduated from
Williamston High School. She worked in several areas of the medical field. She started at Clark's Drug
Store in Williamston and her last job was filing medical records online for a Florida company while living
in Portsmouth. While working full time, Nelda completed an associate degree in medical records. She
lived in Martin County, New Bern, Nags Head, Florida, Portsmouth and last returned to Martin County to
the home of J. B and Ruby Coltrain.
As a small child she attended Christian Chapel and at age 9 she was baptized at West End Baptist
Church. As a teen she attended Macedonia Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, watching Blue
Bloods on TV and being with her granddaughter.
As a child she managed to get her sisters in trouble with some of her cute comments when the four
older girls were supposed to be going to sleep. Nelda learned a strong work ethic from working on the
farm.
ln addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew, Slade Alessi and a great-niece, Lael
Meath.
She is survived by her two sons, Gary Taylor, Jr.(Marilyn)and Robert Taylor(Tasha) plus her pride and
joy, Dynasty Taylor, her only grandchild. Nelda is survived by 5 Mobley brothers: Bob(Rachel)from
Thomasville, GA, Billie from Virginia Beach, Roger(Nedra) from Barnwell, SC, Kenneth S. from Ocean lsle
Beach and Rickey L. from Williamston. There are 4 surviving sisters: Maxine Ouellette(John), Ruby
Coltrain(JB), and Janice Clark(Ronnie) all from Martin County and Shelby Alessi from Dunedin, Florida.
Nelda also left 57 nephews and nieces and number of cousins.

Memorial Baptist or West End Baptist Church.
