Phillip Bazemore

Phillip Eugene Bazemore, 62, died Tuesday March 20, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel in Williamston with Jay Hardison officiating; burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens with military honors.

Phil was the son of the late Jesse and Mariam Grimes Bazemore. He was born in Bertie County on March 28, 1949. He was retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service and was later employed with Harris Trucking as a truck driver.

On February 4, 1979 he married Sherry W. Bazemore who survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are a brother Larry Bazemore and wife Carol of Williamston, Father in law Charlie Mack Williams of Williamston, nephews Jesse Bazemore and wife Holly of Raleigh, Matt Williams and Corey Williams and wife Karla both of Williamston, neice Katy Carman and husband Donnie of Williamston, Brother in law Mack Williams and wife Becky of Everetts, and a great nephew Eric Carman.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home of Charlie Mack Williams 12601 US Hwy 64 Williamston.
