

Ann Burch passed away peacefully on October 13,2024 at the Arboretum at Heritage Greens. Ann Magdalen Ottney was born on October 4, 1929 to the late Elmer Jacob Ottney and Mildred Ann Lamm Ottney in Swormville, NY. Ann graduated from Neumann High School, Williamsville, NY in 1947 and Buffalo State University in 1951. She was a Home Economics teacher for several years.
Ann married Albert Wendell Burch of Lockport, NY on August 2, 1952. Together they raised 5 children. They were happily married for 48 years until his death in 2000. Ann moved to Greensboro, NC in 2002 to be closer to her daughter. She was an avid bridge player, frequently playing in multiple bridge groups at the same time. She also enjoyed shopping and reading in her spare time. She was a devoted communicant of the Roman Catholic Church throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother Elmer Ottney, and sister Jeanne Walker. She is survived by her children Ellen (Jim) of Greensboro, David (Tanya) of Lancaster, SC, Jimmy (Niva) of San Antonio, TX, Donald (Michelle) of Attleboro, MA and Andy (Sofiya) of Anthem, AZ, her grandchildren Amy (Justin), Michael (Caitlin), Chris (Katie), Kyle (Avery), Kari (Bryan), Kacee (Josh), Kenny (Samantha), and Matthew, and great-grandchildren Tenley, Piper, Ryan, Alex, Emily, Sarah, Dominik, Isabel, Kylee, Ava, Margaret, Eleanor and Brooke. She is also survived by her sister Donna Feller (Merritt Island, FL).
We wish to thank the staff at the Arboretum at Heritage Greens and the AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Services for their wonderful care. Visitation was held at Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Road, Williamsville, Tuesday, October 22nd. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday morning, October 23rd at 10:30 in SS Peter & Paul Church, Williamsville. Please assemble at church. Burial will be in Saint Michael cemetery in Williamsville.
