Beloved wife of the late Dr. John "Jack" Bartels. Devoted mother of Dr. Edward Kelly (Nadine), Dr. James (Katherine), Maureen (Michael) Pratt, Dr. Christopher (Amy), Jonathan (Aileen) R.N.s, Dr. Matthew (Michelle), and the late Brian (Mary Ann) Bartels. Adored grandmother of Colette, Christian, Chantal, Meghan, Marisa, Jack, Patrick, Benjamin, Alexander, Emily, John, Katherine, Elizabeth, Brendan, Colin, Barbara, Simon, William, Mikaela, Brian, Kieran, Ian, Brigid, Grace, Seamus, Ryan, Luke, Julia, and Liam. Loving great-grandmother of 44 plus. Sister of the late Janet Doan. Also survived by many nieces,nephews and other relatives. Family will be present to receive friends on Sunday, October 20 from 3-7PM at the PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME 1671 Maple Road. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from Christ The King Church on Monday at 9:30AM followed by Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Barbara's name may be made to the Dr. John & Barbara Bartels Scholarship Fund at Canisius College or Brian D. Bartels Scholarship Fund at Canisius High School. Barbara was an avid tennis enthusiast for most of her life and she especially loved all opportunities to be with her family and friends. She was committed to serving her community and was a dedicated volunteer for Canisius College, Kenmore Mercy, Sisters of Charity and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
