Carl was always a strong presence in all the stories I have heard over the years while at conferences with Carolyn.  I am so glad I was able to meet him and also share his humor and sense of idealism for the world.  I appreciated his dedication to causes that made the world a better place. The best evidence of that is in his legacy -- you, the family.  Find comfort in your memories and knowing that you had a very loving husband and father.  My deepest sympathy for your loss.

     I'm so sorry of the circumstances involving the fall you had.
God IS waiting for your arrival in Heaven.
I remembering when I was 12 yrs. Old.  You were serving our great country in the Navy.  You had a uniform on and I was so very proud of you!  You came home for 1week, and you were like the father who returned to us.  I will never forget how you protected me and the Giambra family.  Because of you, I became a man.  And a very successful World Hall of Fame Boxer.  Remember this Carmelo.  The best is yet to come!  You'll be an Angel in Heaven to look after the rest of OUR Great family.  The Giambras'.  Please say hello to Momma, Sammy, and the rest of the Giambras' in Heaven.  We will be praying for you and the rest of the Giambras'...

I remember visiting Carl and Carolyn in Williamsville and how proud Carl was of the accomplishments of Carolyn and his children. I remember too his visit to our home in Vancouver and his lively conversation and interest in everything around him. There will be wonderful memories and stories of such a strong but gracious and dignified man.

     The special people in our lives are never really gone, they have a cherished place in our hearts where they will always be remembered for the kindness, love and happiness they brought.  I hope you all find comfort in knowing that there will be a brighter tomorrow that's filled with cherished memories of Carl.  He had a dynamic personality and was opinionated to the nth degree, which made for a lot of interesting and informative conversations over the backyard fence on Woodbridge.  Carolyn he was your biggest fan and supporter and he loved you dearly.  Carrie you really enhanced his life with Luke, Austin and Brooke and he was so proud of all your accomplishments and achievements.  You were his pride and joy, his shining light.  Mike your father was your mentor and your hero, someone who had good advice to heed. Carolyn, Carrie and Mike your loss is heaven's gain.  Carl will always blossom forth in our memories and in the gardens of our hearts.  His life on earth was filled with all your love, varied interests and exciting trips.  Celebrate Carl's life, not his death.  Hope Carl and Vince joined the same Italian Club in Heaven.

Dad, you were the best father, grandfather and friend I could ask for in life. You were always there to impart your wisdom and experience to me and the family and 99% of the time, you were right. We miss you very much and feel that you left us too soon. I am happy that you got a chance to get to know my Kelly and the boys, so they were able to see why you were so special to me.
