

January 17, 2018; age 88; of Tonawanda; beloved wife James F. Leberer; cherished mother of David (Cindy) Leberer, Ann (Robert) Schaefer, Kathy Leberer, Liz (Frank) Waclawek, John (Aimee) Leberer, Tom (Sara) Leberer; survived by 16 grand-children and 5 great grand-children; pre-deceased by brother Donald (Phyllis) Gareis, and Mary (Thomas) McMahon; also survived by treasured nieces and nephews.
Carol was married to Jim for 63 years. Their rich life together was filled with faith, love, devotion, and a deep commitment to God, their children, grand-children, and great grand-children.
Carol graduated from Holy Angels Academy, Class of 1947, in Buffalo and from D’Youville College in Buffalo. Graduating top in her class she was also a member of Kappa Gamma Pi Honor Society. After college Carol worked at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. While raising her family, Carol volunteered as Chairman of the ‘Catholic Bishops’ Committee For Marriage and Family Life’. After raising her family, Carol worked at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Financial Aid/Accounts Payable Department.
Carol enjoyed bridge, golf, crossword puzzles, and traveling with Jim. She was actively involved in her parish of St. Christopher’s for many years as a Eucharistic Minister. She volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels and in the Spiritual Care Center at Kenmore Mercy Hospital.
Visitation will be held at PERNA DENGLER, ROBERTS, FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd Williamsville, Friday 4PM-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christopher’s R.C. Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., Tonawanda, Saturday at 930AM. Assemble at church. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
