Carolyn Sue Huffman (nee Back) age 79, of Grand Island, New York passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024. Wife of James R. Huffman; mother of Julie (Mark) Deuble and Alice (Stephen) Brod; grandmother of Katrina Fritz - Dickman (Christopher) and Charlotte Brod; great grandmother of Nathan Fritz and Nora Fritz - Dickman; predeceased by three brothers; daughter of the late Dorothy June Davis Back and the late James Douglas Back. A visitation for Carolyn will be held Saturday, March 30 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Rd, Williamsville, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 noon. Carolyn was the longtime Regional Director of the NYS Dept. of Children & Family Services and the founding Director of the child care center at Roswell Park Cancer Inst.
