I was very saddened to hear the news of my closest coworker passing. For the past 8 years, we worked together and over the past 2 years she became my bestie. Char was my biggest cheerleader. Always cheered me on, always embraced me with open arms 🤗 and even shared her love for her family with me. Char was a team player, always willing to help out but also very eager to learn! Char was so compassionate, loving and kind and would do anything for anyone. I am going to miss my morning coffee chats with her and her mama advice that were so beneficial to me.  Love you always Char xoxo!

So very sorry to hear this sad news about my co-worker at Bank of America. I worked with her for a few years and went on a few work  trips together – she was always complimentary on whatever someone else did… their champion and support. Her laugh and smile one cannot ever forget.

Char was one of my first managers at Bank of America years and years ago.  She had an amazingly bright personality that lit up life wherever she went.  I most recently saw her about a month ago while out with my wife for the first time in years,  and the kind soul that she was picked up our tab as a friendly gesture.   She will be missed along with her infectious smile and laugh.  My condolence to her entire family.

So sorry to hear of your passing.  I was blessed to meet this beautiful soul in 1986 at St. Al's  and when I heard you were sick I immediately remembered your smile that greeted me on my 1st  day.  You welcomed me & treated me like I had been there for years.  May your love & light continues to shine bright.

Char was such a shining light. She gave the best hugs and had the best smile. I had the pleasure of knowing her while working at BOA and had many great times going out! She just made you feel welcome and like you mattered. You will be missed and my deepest condolences go out to the family. Rest in peace and shine on Char❤️

Our St. Aloysius 1986 class lost an important part of its heart last week. I can’t even believe that I am writing this painful farewell. Charlene was a beautiful and dear friend, her smile lit up any room she walked into and she filled others with tremendous joy and laughter. From third grade until 8th grade, Char became an enormous part of my daily life. There is something so incredibly special about our childhood friends; there were so many moments of pure carefree bliss and silly goofiness which I long for. Jackie, Char and I walked home from St. Al’s almost everyday those years, even during the harsh winters to our old neighborhood including our streets of Dartmouth, Shirley, and Highgate. Char and Jackie always took care of each other and me.  🥹 They often walked in front of me to shield me from the blasting wind because I was the shortest of the three of us. 🥹 We shared such happiness that a smile has often appeared on my face when memories of those days have randomly popped up throughout the years. I remember that Char wanted to learn the basics of Spanish, just enough to say hello and goodbye to my parents who are originally from Chile. When we dropped her off at home one day, my mom kept driving past Char’s house by mistake, so Char asked how to say “stop” in Spanish and we told her the word was “para”. After that and whenever my parents or Uncle Nelson drove us home from fun trips to St. Al’s games, USA skate, etc…Char would start saying loudly and excitedly, “Para, para, para…!” several houses ahead of hers just to make sure we stopped but also to make sure we smiled and giggled.  🙂 My dear and beautiful childhood friend, we love you and will always be grateful for the JOY you put in our lives. We will always cherish our special moments with you and are grateful that you made us better people simply by being in your magnificent presence. We send our prayers and supportive hugs to your family, but especially to your parents, brothers and children. 🙏🏼

I have known Char for many years at the company she was so devoted to. I started as her partner years ago, and then I was her leader.  Char was so much to me, she was a friend, a light, a hug.  She always brought sunshine to our conversations and our team.  She was great at being a teammate, but BEST at being a friend.  We will so miss her shining light.  Thank you Char for all you did for all of us, we will always remember you with a smile.  To her family -- my heart and prayers go to you in this difficult time. Char was so many things to so many people. To me, she was a leader, mentor, colleague and most importantly and best of all, a friend. She was a vibrant light with the best hugs and the brightest smile that lit up any room she walked into. Even her eyes smiled genuinely when she engaged with you.  For 18 years she has watched me literally “grow up” and experience life and I am so grateful that she was part of so many of those milestones- promotions, marriage, baby, etc.  I am so sad for all the people who loved her that her bright light was so brief in this world. A friend shared this poem with me when I lost my grandmother a few years ago, and there are just certain people that you feel it could describe so perfectly. This poem has brought me much comfort, and much like my grandma, I thought this poem was perfect for someone like Char who was such genuinely beautiful inside and out. 

I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea. 

The setting sun tinted its white sails with a golden light. As it disappeared from sight, a voice at my side whispered, “She is gone.” 😔

But,  the sea was a narrow one. 

On the furthest shore a little band of friends had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation.

Suddenly, they caught sight of the tiny sail and, at the very moment when my companion had whispered, “She is gone” a happy shout went up in a most joyous welcome, with the words,

“Here she comes!”

I had the pleasure of working with Char for close to twenty years at Bank of America.  She was beautiful inside and out.  My deeper condolences to her family and loved ones.

My mom was the most selfless person there was, she made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. She was loved by everyone and loved everyone. She was the best, and most importantly the best mom. Thank you for everything you’ve done/did. There is truly no one else like you and I will cherish every second I had with you. I love you more than life itself momma char❤️

I worked with Char for over 20 years. She was always in high spirits and very dedicated to her teammates at the bank. My sincere condolences to Char's family.  We'll miss you. Rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Char’s passing.  She was truly a wonderful and out going person.   I was friends with Char all through high school and she was so out going and always put a smile on your face.    I will truly miss her.  Sending prayers to her family and friends
