Kumiega Family, my sincere sympathy for all of you. Dan was one in a million that I had the good fortune to work for over 20 years...  My life was blessed to know Dan and share many ups and downs. Above everything, I am going to miss his sence of humor. Keep your beautiful memories close to your heart. 

My condolences to the family. I was an associate of Dan's at Berkshire/Guardian for 20 years and we talked almost every day. He would always ask me about my children, and one time we bumped into him at Wegmans where he got to finally meet them. After that day, every now and then Danny would put $5 for each child in an envelope and mail it to me, with very specific instructions to make sure they spent it on toys or their favorite foods. He will be missed-a wonderful man!

Sue, Molly and Brian, our sincerest condolences to the three of you and your families on your dad's passing.  He was a true gentleman and always took the time to talk and check on everyone.  While he loved his golf, he loved your mom, the three of you and your families even more.  Hold dear in the memories you have of him and comfort in him being reunited with his beloved Mame.

Sue, Molly, Brian and family, I was so sorry to learn of your Dad's passing.  He was a nice, nice man and always made me laugh, so I shall always smile when I think of him.

Vinnie D., John P., Bill H., and Danny  were a long time foursome at Brookfield  who were close friends off the course. I enjoyed a couple of golf trips to Bills course at Johnathons Landings with them. Danny was well liked by anyone who got to know him. John R. Rogers 

I was so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. I worked with Danny at Specific Solutions for many years, helping him service his clients' policies. I used to walk my dog near Brookfield Country Club. If Danny saw me, he'd stop his golf game to say hi. He had such a good heart. He'd light up talking about family. I enjoyed hearing stories of the little ones. My thoughts are with all of the family. Rest in peace Danny & may you find an amazing golf course in heaven!


I was sad to hear the news that Dan passed away. Dan was a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face. When he couldn't play, frequently he would come out on the weekends and follow us around for six holes. It was a way for him to stay connected to the club and get out on the course despite not being able to play.

Dan will be missed.....his family, Brookfield and WNY lost a kind, gentle soul.

I was so sad to hear the news of Dan’s passing. He was a great guy who always took the time to stop and say “hi”. He had many friends who loved him and will miss him. I will cherish the fond memories that I have of him. He’ll never be forgotten. 

I was so sad to hear the news of Danny’s passing. He was a broker at the firm I worked at for the past two years. We’d often speak on the phone. I assisted him with some of his clients requests, and sent him his mail . We never met in person, but always spoke on the phone he made it feel like I knew him forever. He would share stories about him and his lovely wife, his time in college, and said I made his job easy . He appreciated good customer service and was thankful for me as I was for him. Thoughts and prayers going out to his family members.

I first met Danny when my dad and I played with him and Brian in Brookfield's annual father-son tournament.  I think I was 10 or 11 at the time.  After that anytime he would see me around practicing he would come check in on me and usually invite me to play a few holes with him.  After the first time he told me I couldn't call him Mr. Kumiega anymore.  He watched me grow up and I always appreciated the chances I had to check in with him along the way.  I always smile at the memory of him at my wedding, dancing and cutting it up with everyone around him.  Whether we were talking basketball, golf, or fishing, he never treated me like a kid even when I was one.  He was one of my dad's best buddies, but he always made me feel like he was my friend too.  I'm really glad I got to know him.
