My condolences to the Hoffman Family.  David you sure were a great guy.   You will be missed my so many.  May you rest easy in heaven.

David and I graduated from the Amherst Auxiliary Police Academy together. In spite of the above photo, I have never laughed so hard with all our shenanigans!

 Some of our "law breaking" antics included David driving through the Burger King drive-thru backwards just so that I could order at the speaker and get my own food. 

Moonlight bowling at Transit Lanes and pressing the reset button when our friend April would go up to bowl and then yelling at her that it was not her turn when she'd throw the ball. 

Spraying summertime bike riders, down Main Street, with a squirt gun as we would pass by them in our car. 

After  closing up Buns Master Bakery for the night, during a snowstorm, we bagged all the leftover rolls and bread and literally threw bags of bread at people walking in the street, during a travel ban. 

Due to the unexpected close deaths of both of our fathers, only a week apart, we missed school a lot, staying up all night late on the phone laughing. We would only go back to school on the same days, so much so, that when we walked in together our favorite teacher said, 'Hi, David Martin,  Hi Debbie Hoffman." Reversing our last names as though he couldn't remember who we were.

We have always had so much fun together and I will forever miss you David. I love you.~Debbie

My deepest sympathies to the Hoffman family.  David always had a bright smile, was ambitious & loved life.  He will be dearly missed.  We grew up on the same street.

You were my hero, you ARE my hero.
Laughing so hard we cried and crying so hard we laughed. 
You were always the first person to tell me you were proud of me. You never let me feel unseen for the little things. Your endless teasing and taunting gave me the thick skin I have and I wouldn't change it for the world, that is how you showed love.  

Thank you for the world you showed me. Thank you for the quiet moments we shared. Thank you for the final words in your final days, they will never be forgotten. Say HI to Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Don for me.

Until we meet again, wherever that may be.

David was so affable and vivacious and inspirational.  The foundation he created for SIDS and bringing attention and funds for this hidden affliction was ground breaking.  I'll miss his generous spirit and his ever-present smile, his lust for life and his edgy wit (tempered always with love and empathy).
I pray for him on his next chapter in the arms of God's children and I can already see him dancing to cheerful disco in the Moonlight of an eternal clubland.
Dance like everybody's watching my friend.

Your loss is also our loss. David passed over with love around him. I am glad we remain close.  Amen 🙏

Your love, spirit and being were more gracious than words can express.  We have shared sorrow together as well an insurmountable joys.  You have left and an impression on my heart like no other and I look forward to the day we can share a laugh again. I shall miss you my friend and enjoy those beautiful new wings. Dear Louise and your family, I am so sorry to hear of your brothers  passing. I know how close you two were and I know how much he loved you and your daughters and his great nieces as well. I knew David since we were in junior high school. He was a great guy, One of the kindest guys I've ever known: compassionate, caring,  honest, loyal to his friends and family, a hard worker, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a true friend. I will miss him dearly. 🌹
