He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Susan (nee Suttell) Smith; cherished father of Melissa (John) Wolf; dear brother of Carl (late Serena) Smith, Mary (late Timothy) McCutcheon, Susan McGowan; the late Frank (Louise), late Edward (Karen), late Clarence (late Joyce) and late David (late Marie) Smith; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
