James D. Durfee, of Amherst, NY entered into rest on April 9, 2023 at age 73. Beloved husband of 39 years to Kathleen (nee O’Brien) Durfee; devoted father of Kimberly (Daniel) Deitrick, Jason Durfee, Adam Durfee, Sean (Suzanne) Durfee and Brian (Alexandra) Durfee; adored grandfather of Brianna Layman, Madison Layman, Dillan Layman, Reagan Deitrick, Abigail Deitrick, Tyler Durfee, Declan Durfee, Nolan Durfee and Theodora Durfee; loving son of the late Loris and Virginia (nee Irr) Durfee; dear brother of Diane Levitsky and the late Peter Durfee; fond brother-in-law of Michael (Nada) O’Brien, Daniel (Cynthia) O’Brien, Colleen (Richard) Sciandra and Thomas (Maryann) O’Brien; cherished nephew of William (late Jean) Irr; also survived by loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
