Jeanne M. Fisher

Born in Buffalo, Jeanne was the oldest child of the late William J. and Marie C. (Meers) Eldridge. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard Fisher Jr. and the late Robert Lightner; Loving mother of William (Suzanne) Fisher of Lockport and Nancy (Allan) Larson of Spokane, WA; Cherished grandmother of Kristopher (Jill) Fisher, Lauren (Matt) Backlas, Mark Larson, and Sister Mary Perpetua.

Jeanne was a graduate of South Park High School and the University of the State of New York College for Teachers at Buffalo.

She was a 30+ year elementary school teacher and aid in the Williamsville Central School District. She loved teaching and working with her students.

Jeanne was a 60-year member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Williamsville, serving on the altar guild, as an usher, and committee member. Her church and church family were a highly treasured part of her life.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, crossword and word puzzles, and most of all people. Her laugh and sense of humor was infectious, she could make friends anywhere. No matter how big the space, you could hear her laughter and know she was having fun with friends and acquaintances.

She loved and was very proud of her children and their families, but most of all, she cherished her grandchildren. Nothing produced as many smiles and laughter than spending time with them, whether by phone, Skype, or in person.
