Jerri Braungart

Of Amherst, N.Y., and Crystal Beach, Ont., passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on January 31, 1943, Jerri was the youngest of five children born to the late Thomas F. and Mary I. (McLeod) Crehan.

Jerri was preceded in death by her loving siblings, Joan Rugg, Jean Long, Judy Rexinger, and Jack Crehan. She is also remembered as the cherished sister-in-law, best friend, and "partner in crime" of the late Jack Rexinger.

A devoted and loving mother, Jerri is survived by her children: William T. (Molly) Braungart, Nancy L. (Marshall) Brown, Jason M. (Jaime) Braungart, and Thomas F. (Rebecca) Braungart.

She was the beloved Grammy of nine grandchildren who were the light of her life: Conor Braungart, Katherine (Brennan McDonnell) Braungart, Ian Braungart, Thomas Ciocca, Rose Ciocca, Ryan Braungart, Ella Braungart, Thomas Braungart, and Eireann Braungart. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jerri enjoyed a 25-year career as a Supervisor at Duty Free Americas on the Peace Bridge. She also spent many years in the food service industry, working as a cook at The Wurzberger Hof Restaurant and in the Buffalo Public Schools.

Her true vocation and life's work, however, was being an extraordinary Daughter, Sister, Mother, Aunt, and Grammy.

Jerri enjoyed multiple trips to Ireland with her friends and family. She loved the thrill of a good estate sale, a "garbage pick," and spending a few hours with friends in front of a penny slot machine. She was a dedicated member of the Town of Tonawanda Irish Club and a past recipient of its Eric Raine Memorial award for service. Her favorite times were always spent surrounded by her extended family, especially summers in Crystal Beach, Ontario.

Family will be present to receive friends for Memorial Visitation on Friday, December 19th, from 4-8 PM at the Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Rd, Williamsville, NY 14221. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Aloysius Church, 157 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga, NY., 14215, on Saturday, December 20, at 11:00 am. Please assemble at the church.
