Kathleen M. Devine

Of Amherst, NY passed peacefully on January 25, 2025, at age 89. Kathleen was the second born of four sisters and raised in Buffalo by John and Florence Malone. She was married to Michael Anthony Devine and they raised their four children putting family and church first. After the death of her husband in 1982, Kathleen returned to work at Canisius College as a secretary to be a mother to hundreds, focused on helping others achieve. In 2005 Kathleen retired to pursue her love of gardening and planting flowers. She enjoyed supporting the St. Benedicts Parish in Eggertsville and traveling to visit her children and grandchildren. Kathleen recently became a great-grandma as well. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Marie (Degan) and son, Joseph Mark Devine. She is survived by Michael Devine (Sonya March) and Timothy Devine (Diane). Kathleen is survived by her sisters, Joan Malone and Lynn Rice, as well as her eight grandchildren. She will be remembered as a woman that wanted to help others achieve a better life and raise their families. Friends and family will be received at the PERNA DENGLER ROBERTS Funeral Home 1671 Maple Rd., Williamsville, NY on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Saint Benedict’s RC Church, 1317 Eggert Rd, Amherst, NY at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Kathleen will be buried next to her husband at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Elmwood Ave Kenmore NY., with a Reception to follow.
