Patricia A. Moll, “Pat” of Clarence, NY, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, January 11 at 89 years old. Beloved Wife to the late Charles (Carl) Moll for 64 years. Mother to Thomas (Brooke), Brian, Beth, and the late Carl Patrick. Adored Grandmother to Sierra, Chloe, and Carl. Pre-deceased by her mother (Muriel Wolfe) and father (Lester Morris) and survived by her brother Lester Morris and many loving friends and family members.
Patricia, Pat, Gamgam relished staying home to help raise her four children, Tom, Brian, Beth, and Carl Patrick. A tight knit family who survived the loss of Carl Patrick who died at age 6 from Leukemia; igniting a need to help other families who were working through the loss of a child. They were one of the founding members to create Association For Research Of Childhood Cancer (AROCC), helping families for over 40 years.
As an 8th grader at St. Agnes School in Lovejoy, Pat became a member of the Upsilon Sigma Chi Sorority (aka the Lovejoy Lovelies) who have stayed friends for over 70 years meeting every other week well into their 80s. This group of girls were considered the movers and shakers of their time and continued to be such well into adulthood, stories often told of Pat’s famous goldfish swallowing escapades.
Pat married the love of her life Carl Moll September 6, 1958, in the Church she grew up in, St. Agnes. They were married for 64 years filled with love, laughter, and tears. They were each other’s best friend, always creating a united front. Enjoying traveling to Florida, playing the one-armed bandits, and eating in their favorite restaurants together. As her children found their own paths in life, Pat’s passion for reading led her to a job in the local library, asking her about the library always brought a smile to her face. Besides, reading she enjoyed working on crosswords, playing bridge, sewing, knitting and her favorite indulgence watching the Hallmark Channel.
As her family grew, she became Gamgam to her three grandchildren Sierra, Chloe, and Carl she loved to brag to others about their lives. She cherished every moment she got to spend time with them, Pat was of the generation where family was the focus of life and how it was lived.
Pat’s extraordinary life was filled with happiness, happiness, challenges, adventures, tears, laughter, sadness and most importantly love. Her memory is carried on in her family and their love for each other. As we think of Pat and her life, we can imagine her with Carl walking Heaven’s beach on their way to a casino for some slot machines and delicious food and she is reunited with her son Carl Patrick who is happy and healthy. Thank you for all being a part of our mom and gamgam’s life, we appreciate you as much as she did.
