

Ruth Helen (Aycoth, Ketchum) Hynes, 93, of Buffalo, New York, peacefully went to her eternal home on February 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the legacy she built.
Ruth was born on July 1, 1932, in Buffalo, New York, to Charles Aycoth and Josephine Barbara (Zornick) Aycoth.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene, and her sisters, Charlotte Healy and Sandra Timmel. She is survived by her sisters, June Fabiszewski and Carol Laskowski of Florida; her brother, Richard Aycoth; her five children, Linda Hudson (John), Bonnie Stanek (William), Patricia Organisciak (Paul), Charles Ketchum III (Lisa), Donna Blarr (Jeffery), Rae, Rita, Roann, and Roy Alles.
Ruth’s greatest pride was her ever-growing family. She leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Shawn, Aimee, and Christina Hudson, Richard and Ruth Ann Stanek, Heidi Guenther (William), Kaitlin Cruse (Joseph), Kristin and Charles Ketchum IV. She was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was deeply devoted to her family and treasured every visit, celebration, and holiday spent together. Her home was a welcoming place where laughter, stories, and love were shared. Throughout her life, Ruth worked in a pharmacy, a nursing home, and retail — roles that suited her warm and friendly nature. In her quieter moments, she found comfort in reading.
Friends and family may call Wednesday, February 18, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS Funeral Home,1671 Maple Rd, Williamsville followed by Celebration of Life Service, beginning at 4:00 pm.
