beloved wife of Thomas J.

Balkin, Sr. for 57 years; dear mother

of Thomas (Pamela) Balkin, Jr., Ph.D.,

Colleen (Frank) Balkin-Montmarquet,

Patrick (Judy) Balkin, JD, David

(Martha) Balkin, Ph.D.; cherished

grandmother of Megan, Kelly, Kyle,

Tavis, Phoebe, Lee, Dana and David;

daughter of the late James and Delia

Kelly; sister of Frank Kelly, Helen

Zapfel and the late James Kelly, Jr.,

Margaret Batt, Mary Evelyn Dole,

Vincent Kelly, Catherine Monan and

Edward Kelly; also survived by many

nieces and nephews. The family will be

present to receive friends Tuesday 2-4

and 6-8 at BEACH-TUYN FUNERAL

HOME, INC., 5541 Main St. (at Cayuga

Rd.), Williamsville where prayers

will be offered Wednesday morning at

8:15 followed by a Mass of Christian

Burial in St. Gregory the Great Church

at 9 o'clock, presided by her loving

nephew Msgr. Robert E. Zapfel. In lieu

of flowers, the family would appreciate

donations to Hospice Foundation.

Mrs. Balkin was a lifelong resident of

Williamsville and a graduate of Bishop

Neumann High School and The State

University of New York at Buffalo. Mrs.

Balkin retired as a Senior Counselor

at The Orleans Correctional Facility in

Albion, NY. She was also an avid

golfer and member of Tan Tara Golf
