William "Bill" Cherry, 90, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Audrey, children William Jr., Jeffrey, Bradley, and Stacey, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
A devoted husband and father, those who knew Bill remember his generous heart, quick wit, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. He taught by example—showing that success is built on integrity, that love is deepened by shared adventures, and that music can lift the spirit in any season of life.
Born with a sharp mind and a determined spirit, Bill rose through the ranks in the auto parts industry, becoming a respected executive before taking the leap to start his own business. His leadership and unwavering integrity left a mark on colleagues and customers alike.
In retirement, Bill and Audrey fully embraced their love of exploration. Whether it was marveling at natural wonders, or finding a quiet café in a new city, their travels were as much about people as places—sharing laughter with new friends and making memories with one another.
Music was Bill's lifelong companion. An accomplished pianist, he could fill a room with the sound of a lively tune that got toes tapping.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday, September 20 from 11 am - 1 pm at Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Road, Williamsville, NY 14221.
