

Bernice Cohen nee Kolichman, 91 years young, of Skokie; beloved wife of the late Ruben; dearly loved mother of Sherry (Herman) Reisman and Chaya/Ivy (Eric) Rubenstein; fun-loving Granny of Suzanne Reisman and Justin Pollack of NYC, Dana Reisman of Iowa City, IA and Rebecca Rubenstein of San Francisco; cherished Great-Granny of Marcus Reisman-Megeff; preceded in death by her dear parents Sarah and Isaac Kolichman, brothers Harry (late Evelyn) Kolichman and Maurice Kole, and brother-in-law Max (late Arlene) Coan; survived by many nieces and nephews as well as grand and great-grandnieces and nephews. A lifelong Chicagoan, Bernice graduated from Marshall High School and worked for Sears Roebuck until her marriage. As many '50s women, she was a proud homemaker who was a member of numerous organizations and a champion bowler. She is most (in)famous for her oustanding sense of humor and empathetic nature. At her last residence, CJE Robineau, she was nicknamed their beloved "Comedienne." Special thanks to her Robineau son and daughter, David Pallas and Roberta Tarsch. Funeral service Friday 10 AM at Weinstein Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Interment Waldheim Cemetery, Gate 279.
