David H. Herzon

Dave was born on May 23,1935 to Morton and Sally Herzon. He graduated from Von Steuben High School in 1953 and received his bachelor's degree and subsequent DDS from University of Illinois. Dave practiced dentistry his entire adult life; two years for the U.S. Air Force and then in private practice. Over seventy years ago, Dave met Margaret (Margie) Levi, took her to a movie, and not long after they married and had two children, Lisa and Steve.

Dave enjoyed photography, coaching, dancing, swimming, cards, a good musical and golf. His true love was his family. He would participate in anything if family was involved. He was the most devoted Papa, who's grandchildren Sam, Ben, Judd and Zach brought him immeasurable joy. Dave is survived by his wife, Marge; his children Lisa (Mark) and Steve (Nicole); his younger brother Charles; and his grandchildren Sam, Ben, Judd and Zach.

If you would like to make a donation in Dave's honor, please plant a tree. He loved his annual walk in the woods, planting fruit bearing trees and ultimately taking in the beautiful view from his balcony with a good cigar and a glass of cognac.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, 11:00 am at New Light Cemetery, 6807 N East Prairie Road, Lincolnwood, IL 60712.
